Mga Sir, medyo marami na nag ka-interest sa Crawling lately. And most of the time pag ka may nagtatanong, I have to refer them to the other forum. So Just to make it a little convenient I would like to share some FAQs..paki correct na lang sir kung medyo may sablay ako sa info ha..but I'l do my best. note:limit ko lang muna sa scale crawlers ito. 1. Why Crawlers? Because they are slow.Emphasis is on the technical manuevering of the truck using precise lines along a given obstacle suck as rock garden, ruts, mud etc..as compared to other forms of RC which although very technical as well, but a major factor on their operation is speed. 2. Why so expensive? Because its relatively new, and in its infancy, people use parts salvaged or intended for other RC to make a crawler.Hence compatibility is a major issue. Others used to make scratchbuild parts to convert TLT's WK and XC etc into crawlers. Add all the parts needed, plus the cost of the base kit and some special parts makes it expensive as compared to mainstream RCs.. However, there are several RC Crawler kits available like the AX10 and so-to be released CR01 etc..but still they are expensive since there's relatively no competition. 3. Why are there no Nitro Crawlers? Becasue Nitro Engines as I understand it need airflow to cool itself. And inside the scale body couple with the slow speed of a crawler, no airflow can be expected from that compbination, unless of course your crawler is rolling down the hill. Another reason is the torque requiremnts of a crawler which as I inderstand can only be had using electric motors..although hi torque can be had in nitro engines, I thinks its usually in the hi-rpm range (ito na po sir yung parts na correct me if Im worng)..so hi rpm, no airflow, less efficient fuel consumption..Whereas in electric crawlers, you can run your crawlers for a long time, personally ran mine over an hour with 3000mah..it varies depending the terrain, gearing etc..basta it has long run times. 4. Why scale crawlers? Well this is a personal preferrence. Having a scale crawlermakes it easy for onlookers to relate to the hobby. They can easily recognize the line of a jeep, or an FJ40 for example. While traversing rocks and other obstacles, you can just imagine yourself driving a real 4x4..what can i say, personal preference naman talaga. Here are some videos of Scale Crawler I found in youtube..It helped me a lot when I was deciding to get a crawler.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvHQxl23SrEwww.youtube.com/watch?v=dyyA9AbmT1Uwww.youtube.com/watch?v=hrQ2rr1kCiMwww.youtube.com/watch?v=C1XpsNf_CfwAnd those who want to share some info pagdag-dag na lang sa list. medyo organize na yung thread natin. Hi edward, this is the crawler i bought, i believe it originally came from you. anyway, here's my present problem, ---- the turning radius, mas maliit ngayon compare sa dati. possible ba yung cause na na basa yung servo? anyway, i hope to have a good steering handling... mas malaki yung turning radius. how can we fix this? Thanks!

Hi! Could you do something to my HPI crawler king to make it to a more functional crawler? Thanks! Arnold For starters we can turn it into a true four link configuration. It depends on what you're after, either scale or comp, but the stock chassis definitely has to go. Check out my Wheely king builds found elsewhere in the forum. Schedule a meeting so we can talk things over.

Great! I'm thinking of going scale for my crawler/wheely king. I'll send you an SMS so I can schedule a meeting with you.
Thanks!
